Patmos is the place where Saint John wrote the Book of Revelation. Patmos is an ideal destination for nature lovers thanks to its lace-like coastline, sheer cliffs and volcanic soil.
Designated as “Holy Island” by the Greek Parliament in 1981, as well as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999, Patmos had been used as a place of exile by the Romans on account of its steep morphology. That’s how Saint John found safe refuge here in the 1st century A.D., exiled by the Emperor Domitian.
Thanos & Marilena were meant to meet each other a summer night back in 2015 in Patmos, where they were spending holidays with friends, individually. At the end of the night Thanos and Marilena ended up on a beach of the island, talking to each other. However, destiny had other plans ...
After that night, Thanos did not come back to the island. Marilena had only the wrong name, as she had heard wrong. Thus, she had no way to find him.
Two months later in Athens, Marilena feels a tap on her shoulder and turns only to find Thanos and not Panos as she had initially thought ...
It was pure karma ...
From that exact moment, Thanos and Marilena are together in life.
Again in Patmos for their wedding, having carved on two bracelets the coordinates of the beach where the two of them met for the first time.
